Jaime Munguia VS Liam Smith

Jaime Munguia is an upcoming star and the current WBO Junior Middleweight champion with a record of 29-0-0. From Tijuana, Mexico, he is a fighter that is believed to be the next big contender at 154 pounds. We are hoping to see future match-ups against other elite fighters like Erislandy Lara, Jermell Charlo, and Jarrett Hurd.

In his previous match with Sadam Ali, Munguia showed the boxing world he wasn’t being challenged enough. In a mere 4 rounds, Munguia won the match by a Technical Knockout.

Munguia’s trainer Albert Alcazar has claimed that he wants him to knock Liam Smith out in their upcoming bout on July 21st. The bout will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Liam Smith has a record of 26-1-1, with his only loss being to Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Munguia’s trainer Robert Alcaraz stated, “That fighter has one loss, and that’s against Canelo, who stopped him in the 9th round so I would like to see Jaime stop him before the 9th round. I know Jaime can stop him at any moment from the first round to the first half of the fight. Jaime will stop him.”

This fight of upcoming star against an already well-known powerful Liam Smith will be an exciting one. It will be one of many exciting matches to come for the up and coming star Jaime Munguia.
