What is next for Keith ‘’One Time’’ Thurman
Thurman has a set date to fight with an opponent unknown for May 19th. Its been a little over a year now healing from elbow surgery back in 2017. The welterweight Division has a high list of caliber fighters such as Errol Spence Jr, Terrance Crawford & Lucas Matthysse, Going into deep waters too soon wouldn’t be such a good decision for the defending Champion. Thurman is from Clearwater Florida, in the Amateurs Thurman was successful with 101 wins & 76 knockouts leading him to 6 National Championships. Thurman has drastically climbed up to the top of the divison successfully obtaining the WBC Welterweight belt. Back into 2016 Thurman challenged former champion Danny Garcia at 147 pounds, From the start it was successful for Thurman to utilize his great boxing skills, controlling most of the fight but Garcia also has success to the body in between the fight, it was still no match for the more technical Thurman. Recently Thurman has been in a drought have 6 consecutive fight with out a knockout but promises this May to make sure all doubters are silenced.
